I believe the only thing it takes to experience distress in a relationship is for you to impact someone, and to let them impact you. Relationships are a complicated, beautiful mess at times.
Sure, you may argue, feel detached, overwhelmed, long for more, or simply find yourselves lost or stuck, but I truly believe that reconnection is always possible.
I also believe that you hold the key to your own relational happiness within you. You don’t need to be perfect to achieve that happiness and a secure bond, and neither does your partner.
We may just need to uncover those keys and help you reach out to each other in ways that will bring that closeness you’ve been missing. A fulfilling connection takes work, hard work.
I believe the work is worth every ounce of effort.

How I Help Couples and Individuals Find Growth and Healing
I use Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) for Couples and Individuals Facing:
- New or prolonged feelings of anger, fear, frustration, hopelessness, loneliness, sadness
- Communication issues – arguments, stuck patterns, lack of communication, misunderstandings
- Lack of closeness, togetherness, and fun
- Sexual concerns or challenges with sexual intimacy
- Disagreements around finances, parenting, in-laws, or money
- Major medical conditions/procedures
- Terminal illness, grief, and loss
- Palliative care, hospice, care-taking
- Financial issues or change/loss of job
- Affairs or infidelity and problems surrounding trust
Using EFT, we will explore your relationships and find ways to notice and name the negative cycle that causes disconnection. We can work on communication skills using what the research shows works, instead of letting you feel like you’ve been set up to fail. EFT also helps us explore the way your attachment style plays a role in your relationships with yourself and with others.

Love is fluid. Just as the seasons change, so do the dynamics within our relationships. While our connection with our partner may shift or become clouded by distance or conflict, a significant bond often remains beneath the turbulence waiting to be revived.
The meaning of connection varies from person to person. Love is love – all are welcome with me, and I am LGBTQIA+ affirming.
Love in its fullest form is a series of deaths and rebirths. We let go of one phase, one aspect of love, and enter another. Passion dies and is brought back. Pain is chased away and surfaces another time. To love means to embrace and at the same time to withstand many endings, and many, many beginnings – all in the same relationship.
