When Life Takes a Toll –
Therapy to Help You
Find Your Way Back
Perhaps you’ve been holding it together for a long time — for your job, for your family, for your partner, and even yourself. But lately, life feels heavier. The disconnection in your relationships, the anxiety that creeps in at night, the feeling that no one really sees you — maybe it’s all starting to take a toll.
You might be longing for a space to breathe, to feel understood, and to figure out who you are beneath all the roles you play. That feeling of holding everything in while quietly unraveling — it’s more common than it seems. You’re not broken; you’re tired, and maybe more alone in it than you want to be.
In our work together, my aim is to create a space where you feel deeply seen, understood, and supported. I take a personalized, collaborative approach, blending different therapeutic modalities to meet you where you are.
Whether we’re exploring the emotional dynamics of your relationships, uncovering deeper patterns of thought, or reflecting on the meaning of your experiences, my goal is to help you gain insight, build resilience, and move toward lasting and meaningful change.
Who I Work With
I work with individuals, couples, teens, and families who are feeling overwhelmed by life’s demands and are ready to create meaningful change. You might recognize yourself in one or more of these experiences:
- You’re exhausted from being the “strong one” or the “people-pleaser”– constantly managing everyone else’s emotions while your own needs go unmet, leaving you feeling drained and resentful
- Your relationships feel stuck or disconnected – you and your partner keep having the same fights, or you feel like roommates rather than lovers, longing for deeper intimacy and understanding
- Anxiety is stealing your peace – racing thoughts keep you up at night, you’re constantly worrying about things outside your control, or panic feels like it’s taking over your life
- You’re struggling with major life transitions – whether it’s career changes, becoming a parent, loss of a loved one, or questioning your identity, you feel untethered and unsure of who you’re becoming
- You feel invisible in your own life – despite being surrounded by people, you feel deeply alone and misunderstood, like no one truly sees the real you
- You’re questioning everything – your values, your relationships, your purpose, and wondering if this is all there is to life
- You’re carrying pain from your past – old wounds keep showing up in your present relationships, and you’re tired of the same patterns repeating themselves
- You’re part of the BIPOC or LGBTQ+ community and need a therapist who understands the unique challenges you face, including identity exploration, discrimination, or family acceptance issues
- You’re a highly sensitive person who feels everything deeply but has been told you’re “too much” or “too emotional”
- You are in a Polyamorous relationship or exploring one – I affirm and support non-monogamous (CNM) and polyamorous relationships. These relationships can bring both unique joys and unique challenges around communication, trust, boundaries, and emotional safety. If you’re navigating ethical non-monogamy, I offer a supportive space to explore these dynamics, strengthen connection, and create relationships that feel authentic and fulfilling for everyone involved.
- You’re struggling with anger – whether it’s explosive outbursts or feeling numb and shut down, you want to understand what’s driving these intense emotions
- You’re a teen feeling misunderstood – navigating identity, peer pressure, family conflict, or the overwhelming pressure to have it all figured out
- Your family is stuck in painful patterns – constant conflict, communication breakdowns, or feeling like you’re all living separate lives under the same roof
Emotionally Focused Therapy for Your Most Important Relationships
Using Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), I focus on understanding your emotions and the ways they show up in your relationships. I also integrate insights from existential and humanistic approaches, helping you explore your identity, values, and the ways you navigate life’s big questions. Psychodynamic and CBT elements are woven in to help identify and shift long-standing patterns, so you can start living more freely and authentically.
Whether you’re navigating anxiety, relationship stress, identity exploration, or just feeling overwhelmed by being human, I’m here to walk alongside you — at your pace, with compassion.
My Experience Supporting Others
Before beginning my internship at Thrive, I supported individuals through a range of emotional and relational challenges — including conflict with loved ones, identity struggles, anger, and emotional overwhelm. I’ve had the honor of walking alongside people struggling with experiences like grief, transitions, and deep moments of self-discovery.
I have experience working with BIPOC and LGBTQ+ people, and I deeply value creating a culturally responsive, affirming space where all parts of your identity are welcome regardless of your background. In every setting, I’ve been drawn to moments where people begin to feel seen and see themselves differently — when they reclaim their voice, soften toward their pain, or feel a little less alone.
A Bit More About Me
When I’m not in the therapy room, you can usually find me cuddling with my animals while watching a movie or tv show. I’m a lover of music, creative expression, and anything that lets people be deeply real, hence why I spend a lot of my free time making music individually and with my band. I also love being active and have recently picked up Muay Thai as a hobby and understand how incredibly important it can be in self-growth to find activities that feel enriching and meaningful yet exciting to oneself.
I have a BA in Psychology from Towson University as well as a BAS from Louisiana State University. I’m currently pursuing my MA in Counseling Psychology from the University of Denver.
